What is a dehumidifier?

Refrigerant (condensing) dehumidifiers cool air below its dew point to condense out water; desiccant dehumidifiers pass air through a moisture-absorbing wheel regenerated by heat. The type sets the maintenance focus: condensing units centre on coils, condensate, filters, and the refrigerant circuit (under F-Gas), while desiccant units focus on the wheel, regeneration heater, and seals. Maintenance keeps moisture removal effective and the unit efficient.
